Students of Xi’an Sports School in Shaanxi province learned judo skills from judo champions and foreign teachers at a special judo class on Sept 7.

Fun games were also arranged to give students a special experience about judo exercises.

Zhang Xuefeng, headmaster of Xi’an Sports School said that judo education in Shaanxi province is far from sufficient. “We need to invest more capital and personnel to promote judo exercise among students,” he said.

The event was initiated by the International Judo Federation and Chinese Judo Association. More activities of such kind will be held in Taiyuan of Shanxi province, and Hohhot and Baotou of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
